A Digital Twin of Lantau Island
To enhance communication with the public, the Sustainable Lantau Office (SLO) of the Civil Engineering and Development Department has set up the Tung Chung Community Liaison Centre (CLC) at 13 Tung Chung Waterfront Road, Tung Chung. In the CLC, visitors can know more about the development projects and conservation works/initiatives of SLO as well as the nature, culture and history in Lantau, through various interactive exhibits and models.
We are delighted to be participated in the creative design and production of 3 major multimedia exhibits in the Tung Chung CLC.
An immersive projection tunnel which lets visitors to be immersed in the time tunnel of the development of Lantau Island, to review and to appreciate the history in the past, the developments in the present, as well as to foresee the bright future of Lantau’s development.
Cave Automatic Virtual Environment System
Moreover, in order to enhance the immersive-ness and the level of participation to the visitors, we produced a program that can actually let visitors to WALK inside the “to-be-developed” Tung Chung inside a Cave Automatic Virtual Environment (CAVE) System. Visitors simply select different spots from the menu and our program will bring them there. They can freely navigate inside the 3D built Tung Chung through the controllers.

We have also designed and produced 2 information kiosks which let visitors to dig deep into the planning principle of "Development in the North, Conservation for the South”.
