Water Supplies Department

H2OPE Centre

The H2OPE Centre (H2O Public Education Centre) is a new public education centre aiming at enhancing public’s knowledge of water conservation. Through the exhibits, live demonstrations and interactive games, visitors can gain a thorough understanding of various issues related to water resources in Hong Kong.

Through enormous researches in HK water supplies history/rules/monuments, we turned tedious data into amusing interactive games and interactive kiosks to create an easier learning platform for our target audience i.e., Primary and Secondary students.

Fishing at H2OPE Centre:

There are many regulations on fishing at reservoirs in Hong Kong such as the numbers and types of fish that can be taken away from reservoirs.  We simulated the fun of fishing at reservoirs through a digital interactive game. What could be more fun than turning such an educational topic into an amusing game?

Biodiversity at H2OPE Centre:

By using motion sensing technology and simple yet clean animation, visitors would be able to learn about the biodiversity of water catchments in Hong Kong. Educational yet FUN!
